Reverend Terry D. Turk, Senior Pastor Pastor Terry D. Turk was born as a twin (Sherry) in Cleveland Ohio to Rev. William and Pauline Turk. In his private life, Pastor Turk is the proud and caring father to two children, Terry Jr. and Tyra. He is also the owner of Turk Professional Services Inc., the funeral escort and removal service he founded in November of 1991. He is a very dedicated and hard worker who makes sure to give your loved ones special care. In 1998, Pastor Turk accepted his calling to preach the gospel. He remained under the leadership of his father Emeritus Rev. William Turk for several years. Then in April of 2002 he was appointed Senior Pastor of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. Pastor Turk is a graduate of Collinwood High School and has furthered his education by attending Cuyahoga Community College. In addition, he has also attended Hosanna Bible Training Center, Moody Bible College, and Shalom Bible College and Seminary. Pastor Turk is affiliated with the Full Gospel Baptist Church fellowship under the leadership of International Presiding Bishop Paul S. Morton Sr. Pastor Turk is currently the Director of Senior Pastors for Full Gospel Baptist Churches - Cleveland District. Pastor Turk is a member of the Baptist Pastor Council as well as the Baptist Minister Conference. Pastor Turk is a spiritual son of Bishop Darryl S. Brister and is covered under the apostolic anointing of DSBIA. Additional Spiritual guidance arrives from his local mentors, Bishop Melvin Warren and Pastor Lawrence Boone. God has blessed and called Pastor Turk to not only preach His word but to evangelize, teach, experience God's anointing powers through prophetic ministry, perform weddings, baptisms, revivals, counsel the needy and lost, as well as comfort the bereaved. Under his administration there have been many great accomplishments for Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. Pastor Turk has worked extremely hard to break down the denominational barriers that have hindered the body of Christ for so long. He has allowed God to use him to feed the unadulterated word of God to the people, heal the broken hearted, and lead many souls to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
